Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant

£90 - 95 per day PAYE
We are seeking individuals who are empathetic, pro-active and passionate about working with children with special educational needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school dedicated to providing a warm and nurturing environment for children aged 11-19 with diverse needs, including Autism, SLD, and PMLD. The school has been designed to promote the development of life skills, creativity and independence with wide, open spaces. This includes a variety of fantastic interactive rooms such as an incredible hydro-therapy pool and fantastic physical exploration room with large floor trampoline and interactive light and sound projection.
What you can expect as a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant:
- Providing 1-1 and small group support to students, tailoring activities to individual learning styles
- Participating in a variety of creative activities, from arts and crafts to sports and music.
- Working with teachers and therapists to create an inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere.
- Encouraging independence and life skills development in students.
- Facilitating sensory-based and play-based learning experiences
- Assisting with personal care and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
