The role

I am looking for a wonderful, enthusiastic Specialist Support Assistant to join a school based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire; this school has an excellent reputation for providing outstanding education to young people and taking great care of their staff! The role is to support the school’s pupils with SEN. Your day-to-day role would be working on a 1:1 basis, ensuring the child can understand the work they are being given, and help overcome any barriers they may face to their learning.

Your role would also consist of taking the child out for interventions outside of the classroom so that you can support the child to the best of your ability and ultimately encourage them to achieve their best.

This school is also fantastic at supporting Specialist Support Assistants that wish to pursue a career in teaching. Therefore, if you are an aspiring teacher, this school would be the best place for you to be to lay the foundations of your career!

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate for this role would be a Specialist Support Assistant looking to expand their experience within a SEN environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to show their passion for SEND children and provide genuine help that can positively impact their needs.
