Role: Speech and Language Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 - £95 Per Day PAYE
Working Hours: 8:30 - 15:30
Contract Type: Temp to Perm

I am working with an an amazing mainstream primary school that is based is Fulham, they are looking for a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join their lovely team!
The role is based in year 2 and you will be predominantly supporting two little twin girls who are absolutely delightful and need support academically (Year 2, working at a Year 1 level - especially need support in phonics), and carrying out speech and language work with them with the direction of a therapist.
This would be a great opportunity for a budding Speech and Language therapist who will have the opportunity to work alongside a Speech and Language therapist and supporting the needs of the two children.
They Speech and Language Teaching Assistant should possess a blend of firmness and warmth, being nurturing while also capable of delivering interventions effectively.
The Ideal Speech and Language Teaching Assistant
- Experience working with ASC, ADHD and SEMH (highly desirable)
- A Degree in Psychology or health and Social Care (highly desirable)
- Experience working with children with challenging behaviours (highly desirable)
- Fluent in written and spoken French (desirable)
- Can build and maintain meaningful relationships with staff and students
- A calm, non-judgmental and nurturing personality would be ideal
