Post-16 SEMH Teaching Assistant SEMH School Stratford 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday (term time) £100 per day PAYE A social, emotional, mental health school are in need of an experienced teaching assistant to support their post-16 class, the students in this class have SLD, ASC and SEMH needs. You will be required to have 2 years experience in an SEMH/PRU school setting to be considered, post-16/college experience preferred. This school caters for secondary aged pupils and has a therapeutic and holistic approach to their teaching, they are very student lead. The classes will be 5 students maximum, you will be supporting the class teacher and the students, monitoring behaviour, de-escalating, supporting with a modified curriculum. As a Learning Mentor, your role would consist of supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom. You would focus on breaking down barriers to young people’s learning so that they can reach their full potential.
