Early Years Teaching Assistant - SEN

I am working with a vibrant and creative SEN school in the heart of Hertfordshire, and the school is looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join them ASAP on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to gain practical and clinical experience in the field of special needs education.

Early Years Teaching Assistant - EYFS SEN TA requirements

  • Passion for working with children in early years / EYFS who require additional support in order to access education and social development

  • May have experience working in a nursery or early years class

  • Ideally previous experience (formal or informal) supporting children with Autism or other special educational needs

  • Has excellent communication skills and be a team player

  • A proactive and positive individual who is always striving to meet children's learning needs.

  • Ability to build rapport with children

  • Has creative approach

What you can expect as a Early Years Teaching Assistant / EYFS SEN TA

  • Your role as a Early Years Teaching Assistant in a special school will be to support children with Autism / ASC and complex needs, however the role will vary from day to day, you will be expected to use your initiative and respond calmly in challenging situations

  • For aspiring Teachers, Pastoral Workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Counsellors, and Social Workers, these positions will offer relevant and vital experience for your chosen career path

  • Continued Professional Development - this SEN school is continually training their staff to help them support their children's needs, you will become an expert in your field

  • You will have an opportunity to make a huge social impact, as an Early Years Teaching Assistant / EYFS TA you would change the path of a child's life.

Pay

  • We understand that pay is extremely important and it must be clear and simple! For that reason we have chosen to pay our staff via PAYE only. Quoted rates are gross pay and your pay will never involve employer's NI deductions or admin fees.

  • Just as roles vary, so will the remuneration depending on the role requirements and your experience. You will often see these roles advertised as daily rates, please note that we pay PAYE only and rates will vary from £80-£90 per day, depending on the role and your experience.
