The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech and Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised support strategies and help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups
Help implement and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Foster positive relationships and a sense of belonging in the classroom
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers
Promote inclusive practice across the school day
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting for at least 6 months

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

In-depth knowledge of EHCP processes and experience managing annual reviews.
NASENCO qualification (desirable) or a commitment to working towards this certification.
Excellent organisational skills to ensure effective planning, monitoring, and ongoing review of SEND provision.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and external professionals.
